Professional Details

Richard M. Cohlan has been practicing law since 1975 as a member of the New York and Federal Bars. Over the years, he has had the opportunity to represent numerous clients in all aspects of the real estate areas in which our firm is engaged.

Due to his association with numerous lenders and banks, particular expertise has been achieved in the areas of loan and mortgage instruments in commercial, residential, condominium and co-op transactions. This has, of course, included numerous closings over the years for other private, corporate and institutional clients. Many of these transactions have also involved mezzanine and other aspects of creative real estate financing.

In addition, Richard practices in the areas of estate planning, including Wills, Trusts, and Probate.

Mr. Cohlan is a member of the New York State Bar Association, including membership on various committees and its Real Estate Section. He is also a member of the Westchester County Bar Association and the White Plains Bar Association. He has also dedicated his charitable efforts to organizations that seek to achieve a substantial reduction in the incidence of Stillbirth.
